{"id":22114,"date":"2021-06-01T17:08:55","date_gmt":"2021-06-01T22:08:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/poncatribe-ne.org\/?p=22114"},"modified":"2021-06-01T17:08:55","modified_gmt":"2021-06-01T22:08:55","slug":"notice-law-and-order-code-revision","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/qlogicllc.com\/poncatribe\/news\/notice-law-and-order-code-revision\/","title":{"rendered":"Notice: Law and Order Code Revision"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Discussion on June 15th at 10:00 a.m. <br>During Tribal Council Meeting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Ponca Tribal Council will be proposing to amend Title XVI, Liquor Control of the Ponca Tribal Law and Order Code.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proposed amendments will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Clarify the activities relating to liquor that are subject to licensing and regulation and activities that are allowed and not allowed as well as provide more consistent language on the activities regulated.<\/li><li>Clarify who is subject to the Tribe&#8217;s liquor ordinance, who requires a liquor license, and what each type of liquor license allows.<\/li><li>Allow the Liquor Board to set licensing fees, civil fine amounts, and similar monetary items rather than requiring amendments and BIA approval for changes in the future.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A complete copy of the proposed amendments is available at the tribal offices, or one may be obtained by contacting Jan Colwell, Tribal Council Executive Assistant at 402-857-3391, Ext. 402.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may also download the following PDFs to view proposed changes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/poncatribe-ne.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/2021-05-26_title16-changes-redline.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Title XVI (Changes marked in red)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/poncatribe-ne.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/2021-05-26_title16-changes-clean.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Title XVI (clean copy)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>There will be a discussion by Tribal Council that is open for public comment on June 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as it may be heard.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Written comments will be accepted until June 14, 2021.<\/strong> The written comments may be emailed to <a href=\"mailto:janc@poncatribe-ne.org\">janc@poncatribe-ne.org<\/a> or mailed to: Jan Colwell, P.O.
