{"id":23326,"date":"2021-11-15T14:26:38","date_gmt":"2021-11-15T20:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/poncatribe-ne.org\/?p=23326"},"modified":"2021-11-15T14:26:38","modified_gmt":"2021-11-15T20:26:38","slug":"notice-all-tribal-members-2","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/qlogicllc.com\/poncatribe\/news\/notice-all-tribal-members-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Notice: All Tribal Members"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>LAW AND ORDER CODE REVISION<\/strong><br><strong>Discussion on January 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.<\/strong><br><strong>During Tribal Council Meeting<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ponca Tribal Council will be reviewing proposed amendments to the Law and Order Code.&nbsp; The revisions are being considered because the Election Board wants to ensure that the Election Process in 2022 will be fair and impartial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>There are changes being proposed to Title IX. &nbsp;The revisions being considered include but are not limited to the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Change the word \u201cherein\u201d to \u201cin this Title\u201d<\/li><li>9-1-4 &nbsp;&nbsp; Change the definition of inactive voter<\/li><li>9-4-9 &nbsp;&nbsp; Expand the section on signatures to include accommodations for disabled signers<\/li><li>9-4-12&nbsp; Only original petition sheets to be accepted<\/li><li>9-4-17&nbsp; Certification of Petitions to be e-mailed to Tribal Council Secretary<\/li><li>9-6-9 &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Expand the section on Residency Requirements<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A complete copy of the proposed amendments is available at the tribal offices, or one may be obtained by contacting Jan Colwell, Tribal Council Secretary at 402-857-3391.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>There will be a discussion by Tribal Council that is open for public comment on January 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as it may be heard.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Written comments will be accepted until December 28, 2021.&nbsp; <\/strong>The written comments may be emailed to <a href=\"mailto:janc@poncatribe-ne.org\">janc@poncatribe-ne.org<\/a> or mailed to<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jan Colwell,<br>P.O.
